Interview with Twiggy

I've recently (in the last year) been writing for Freedom magazine - a new publication aimed at a mature readership of both men and women in Wales.
The summer and first birthday issue is out today, and to celebrate a year of Freedom I organised an interview with iconic British model Twiggy.
Here's what she had to say...

Ladies First photo shoot

I have recently started styling photo shoots in my role as Editorial Co-ordinator for Ladies First, Freedom and Tiara magazines.
For Summer I decided to go with five 'key looks' to see you through your busy social schedule, including festival fashion and occasionwear.
Behind the camera was super talented fashion photographer Sophie Pycroft, while in front was the gorgeous Donatella Pegler. Make-up and hair was created by one of my favourite people to work with, Becky Lingham.
In this image from the shoot, I put together a Coast dress from John Lewis in Cardiff, necklace from Pink Zebra, beret fascinator from Robyn Coles, shoes from Amanda Jayne and Darling bag from The Queen B, Penarth.
To see the whole shoot visit Ladies First online.

Cymru am byth

Those of you who know me will be well aware I'm very proud to be Welsh and I've spent many a happy afternoon at the Millennium Stadium cheering on my home country.
So you can imagine how excited I was when speaking to key members of the women's Welsh rugby team this Spring for a feature in Ladies First.
Both Dyddgu and Jenny were very keen to get across just how much they loved the national game, and who can blame them?!

Meeting Alesha Dixon

Today was a pretty good day in the office.

Not only did I get the opportunity to interview a much-loved British fashion icon (story to follow in a few weeks), I also had the pleasure of meeting Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.

Alesha was in Cardiff promoting Avon - a brand who she hopes will encourage more women in Wales to get back into work.

Aside from being the face of the beauty brand, she also encourages support for their charitable work, including an issue very close to her heart, domestic abuse.

My full interview with Alesha will be in the Autumn issue of Ladies First - out at the beginning of September.

Check out the current Avon brochure here.

Mint green wedding trend

My top trend for weddings this year?

Has to be Mint Green. The soft pastel shade is influencing wedding decor from Cardiff to California.

Read more about this, and other wedding trends, in your Summer issue of Tiara.
